An amazing day on the river Serchio, which offers the perfect spots for everyone, beginners and expert paddlers, for relaxed cruising or for more adrenalinic river running. The Serchio crosses Garfagnana from north to south and it continues through the middle valley touching Barga and the famous Devil’s Bridge, then the provinces of Lucca and Pisa until the sea in Marina di Vecchiano.
People come to the Garfagnana valley for the natural beauty, we’ll guide you into an amazing journey through this beautiful area. You can choose the itinerary 1 from Devil’s Bridge to Lucca, or the itinerary 2 from Lucca until the fort of Ripafratta. In both excursions you will paddle about 10 km across areas of great wilderness downstream in crystal clear water, crossing old dismissed paper farm, roman bridges, a lot of birds and fishes, and it is not rare observe deer or on the riverside.
This activity is perfect for families with kids, groups of friends or couples.
